Why do you need a daypack? In the military, a soldier carries all his equipment except his parade suit to the area of operations. Still, he usually takes most of the combat equipment, including changing clothes and some spare gear. This usually remains with the baggage, the rearguard, the camp, or the combat vehicle.
In many tactical activities, only the equipment is necessary, which is needed to solve the combat task. If it can not be worn directly on the body, you can store them in a daypack.
